About the Workshop

Communicating science is as important to the scientific process as designing, conducting and analysing the experiment itself. The workshop focuses on essential techniques for effective writing and presentation of scientific information: reviewing sections of a paper, designing tables and figures, making oral and poster presentations. The workshop is in the format of active learning – each session consists of an informative PowerPoint presentation followed by a practical group task or discussion.

Workshop Materials

Handout material will include notes from the PowerPoint presentations and the practicals. The book for the workshop is Writing and Presenting Scientific Papers by Birgitta Malmfors, Phil Garnsworthy and Michael Grossman, 2nd ed., Nottingham University Press (2004).

To register for the full-day workshop, please complete the relevant section on the EAAP registration form.
